Introduction
A morgue table is the stainless-steel workstation at the heart of every mortuary, pathology room and funeral-home preparation area. ENTROVITA's morgue table range includes 14 models across four working groups — autopsy and dissection tables, mortuary washing tables, embalming tables, and corpse thawing tanks — built for daily, heavy-duty use in hospital morgues, funeral homes, crematoriums, medical schools, and forensic departments. Every unit is designed around three priorities: hygienic stainless surfaces that disinfect quickly, stable working heights that reduce staff strain, and handling and ventilation features that keep the air clean and the work dignified.
What is a morgue table used for?
A morgue table provides a stable, hygienic surface on which the deceased are examined, washed, embalmed, thawed or prepared for dissection. Because mortuary work demands both dignity and strict hygiene, these tables combine corrosion-resistant stainless steel with drainage, ventilation and height adjustment so each task can be completed safely, efficiently and with minimal manual handling. Typical environments we supply:
- Hospital morgues and pathology departments — examination surfaces with strong ventilation and easy disinfection between cases.
- Funeral homes and funeral parlours — compact washing beds and bath beds sized for day-to-day care and preparation.
- Crematoriums and municipal mortuaries — durable worktables and thawing units for continuous throughput.
- Medical schools, anatomy labs and forensic institutes — large-format dissection tables that support group teaching and research.

Autopsy and dissection tables (GH-JD / GH-JP series, 5 models). Built for post-mortem examination and anatomical teaching. The GH-JD-311 autopsy table (also commonly searched as the "autopsy table") pairs dual downdraft ventilation with automatic electric height adjustment and optional voice-control operation. The GH-JD-321 cadaver dissection table uses a fixed 800 mm working height for maximum stability in teaching rooms. In contrast, the GH-JD-314-1 downdraft dissection table adds integrated refrigeration to keep specimens cold during long procedures. For larger groups, the L-shaped GH-JP-311-L anatomy dissection table opens a 2,600 × 2,100 mm worktop.
Mortuary washing tables (GH-LYC series, 6 models). Stainless-steel washing beds and bath beds for body care, from the full-length 2,600 mm GH-LYC-1 mortuary bathing bed to the compact GH-LYC-5 funeral home bath bed. The GH-LYC-4 body washing bed combines a lifting function with an integrated washing function to cut bending and strain, and the GH-LYC-6 mortuary hygiene table offers a generous 2,500 × 850 mm preparation surface.
Embalming tables (GH-ZD series, 1 model). The GH-ZD-315 embalming table features a tilting tabletop for fluid drainage and body positioning, plus an integrated washing function, so you can quickly rinse and disinfect the preparation area between cases.
Corpse thawing tanks (GH-HDC series, 2 models). The GH-HDC-1 body thawing pool adds a lifting function, one-touch start and a bottom water outlet for quick draining. In contrast, the GH-HDC-2 corpse thawing tank uses automatic heating to thaw frozen remains consistently without manual temperature supervision.
Core features across the range
Corrosion-resistant stainless-steel construction. All work surfaces are stainless steel with smooth finishes that stand up to repeated washing, disinfectants and heavy daily use — the basis of a hygienic mortuary workspace.
Ventilation where it matters most. Selected autopsy and dissection models use single- or dual-downdraft ventilation to capture fumes, odours, and aerosols at the table surface, supporting a cleaner working environment for staff and visitors.
Ergonomic working heights. Automatic electric lift on the dissection tables, plus lifting functions on the washing beds and thawing pool, let operators set a comfortable height or raise the body to them. Working heights across the range run from 760 mm to 1,000 mm, with 800 mm the most common standard.
Integrated washing, drainage and heating. Washing beds, the embalming table and the thawing tanks include built-in washing functions, drainage outlets and tilting or heated surfaces, so fluids clear quickly and hygiene routines stay simple.
Flexible sizes and workflow options. Platform lengths range from 2,170 mm to 2,600 mm and widths from 780 mm to 2,100 mm, letting a facility match each morgue table to its room layout, procedures, and staff numbers — with optional voice control and cold storage on selected models.
Why facilities choose ENTROVITA morgue tables
Mortuary equipment runs every day and is expected to last years, so reliability and cleanability matter as much as features. Every unit is built for continuous professional use with stainless-steel construction and straightforward, low-maintenance design. ENTROVITA supports buyers end-to-end: help selecting the right model for your procedures and floor plan, installation and commissioning guidance, operator training, spare parts and responsive after-sales service — all with English-language documentation for international projects. One accountable partner covers your entire morgue fit-out, from autopsy room to washing room.
Choosing the right morgue table
Start with the task, not the size. Post-mortem and forensic work calls for a ventilated autopsy or dissection table; washing and preparation call for a mortuary washing table, bath bed, or hygiene table; embalming needs a tilting embalming table; and thawing frozen remains requires a heated thawing tank. Then confirm your room dimensions, preferred working height and whether you need a powered lift, downdraft ventilation or integrated refrigeration. Send us your requirements, and we will recommend the right model and provide a quotation.

FAQ
Q1. What is a morgue table used for?
A morgue table is a hygienic stainless-steel work surface used to examine, wash, embalm, thaw and prepare the deceased. Different models suit different tasks: autopsy and dissection tables for post-mortem work, washing tables and bath beds for body care, embalming tables for preparation, and thawing tanks for frozen remains.
Q2. What sizes do ENTROVITA morgue tables come in?
Platform lengths range from 2,170 mm to 2,600 mm and widths from 780 mm to 2,100 mm, with working heights between 760 mm and 1,000 mm. The L-shaped GH-JP-311-L anatomy dissection table offers the largest surface at 2,600 × 2,100 mm overall.
Q3. Do your tables provide ventilation for autopsy work?
Yes. Selected autopsy and dissection models feature single or dual downdraft ventilation that draws fumes, odours and aerosols away at the table surface — the GH-JD-311, GH-JD-321, GH-JP-311-L and GH-JD-314-1 all include downdraft extraction.
Q4. Can the table height be adjusted?
Yes. Selected dissection tables offer automatic electric height adjustment, and the GH-LYC-4 body washing bed and GH-HDC-1 body thawing pool include lifting functions. Models such as the GH-JD-321 use a fixed 800 mm height where maximum rigidity is preferred.
Q5. What after-sales support do you provide?
We support model selection, installation and commissioning, operator training, and ongoing spare parts and technical service, with English-language documentation for export projects.
